About

We are a D1-AA level, competitive Rugby Team. We provide a welcoming environment for women to continue or start brand new athletic careers. We compete in the Women's Midwest Collegiate Rugby Conference throughout the year. Our fall season consists of 15s matches with one team. We kick off the spring semester playing 7s with two teams, Maroon and Gold. Giving our athletes more play time and opportunity.

 

Team News

UMN Women's Rugby Club's most recent accomplishment was leaving the 2026 Minnesota All Saints Tournament as champions. On April 26, both our Maroon and Gold teams competed against Minnesota division schools. Our women on Gold crushed the tournament and won all five of their matches including the final against Winona with a score of 40 to 0. Both our teams worked so hard on that cold, rainy day to end the season with a bang.
